HOSHINO KYOGO

Established in 1958, Hoshino Kyogo focuses on sustainable wood, using Hinoki (Japanese cypress wood) collected from forest-thinning in Tochigi Prefecture. Company members personally accompany the Tochigi Prefectural Forestry Association to select appropriate trees to be thinned for healthy woodland growth. The timber is part naturally dried, and products finished by manually operated machinery and checked in person.
