GRASS BLUE & WHITE RICE BOWL (MID-CENTURY)

There's an effortless beauty about the grass motif of these 1940s rice bowls. Simple blue brushstrokes on white textured porcelain, each bowl's design is subtly different. We were told that these were once part of ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) dinnerware, kept in storage for decades after the establishment shut down.
